The Environmental Protection Fund Works!

A greener New York State means a more vibrant economy in the Empire State, too. The Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) supports a wide variety of programs that generate revenue and create jobs across New York State. A recent analysis by The Trust for Public Land found for every $1 the Fund invests, $7 is returned to New York State. Through various programs, the Environmental Protection Fund supports more than 350,000 jobs across a spectrum of industries, including outdoor tourism, agriculture, and protecting drinking water for millions of New Yorkers. All told, EPF-supported industries generate approximately $40 billion every year.

20 Years of Success!

2013 is a very special year for one of New York's most valuable programs.  For 20 years the EPF has conserved our farms, forests, and clean water; supported our parks, zoos and recycling programs; and revitalized our waterfronts.
